Editorial Policy

  1. Focus and Scope

    Paradigma Hukum Pembangunan (PHP)  is a peer reviewed Journal  published by Faculty of Law Atma Jaya Catholic University  focus on legal problem which may include , but not limited to Civil Law, Criminal Law, Business Law, International law and Constitutional /Administrative law.

    This jurnal aim to give information on legal sciences, legal commentaries, for society especially  for  academics and practioners.

    The PHP jurnal also aim to develop legal policy, theory and practice The PHP Jurnal published regularly twice a year on February and August

  2. Review Process

    Author should send their manuscript by joining or registered the OJS. Editor in Chief will assign the manuscript to Managing Editor for further handling, and The Managing Editor will request at least two scientists to review the research article manuscript. All manuscripts are subject to double -blind peer-review, both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers,  throughout the review process to meet standards of academic excellence. The reviewer will assess eligibility of the manuscript  and return the manuscript to the author to be revised as suggested. Within specified time the author send back the revised manuscript, and after  the manuscript has been declared eligible, the next step is editing, and scheduling for publication.

    General Guidelines

    1. An author has to be registered in the OJS of PHP
    2. The authors should ensure that they have written  original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted;
    3. An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication.

     

  4. Publication Ethics

    Paradigma Hukum Pembangunan (PHP) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Faculty of Law  Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The journal is committed to upholding the  standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. All authors submitting their works  for publication as an original articles which represent their work and  contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Publication decisions. The editor of the Paradigma Hukum Pembangunan is responsible for deciding which manuscript will be accepeted. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision, to decide which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published.  The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism

Fair play. The editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or others discrimination of the authors.

Confidentiality. The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers,  other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions. Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.

Promptness. Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

Confidentiality. Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity. Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Duties of Authors

The research being reported should have been conducted in an ethical and responsible manner and should comply with all relevant legislation.

Authors should present their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.

Authors should strive to describe their methods clearly and unambiguously so that their findings can be confirmed by others.

Authors should adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarised, and has not been published elsewhere.

Authors should take collective responsibility for submitted and published work.

The authorship of research publications should accurately reflect individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting.

Funding sources and relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed.

 

Manuscript Guidelines

 

  1. Manuscript based on the author’s research or conceptual article on the legal field.
  2. Manuscript can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or in English between 15 to 20 pages.
  3. Manuscript written style is Times New Roman. Font 12, with 1.5 line spacing, with A4 paper size. For Abstract, picture, diagram and table lince spacing is 1.
  4. Manuscript written on a document in Microsoft Word.
  5. Citation using footnote with the Chicago Style or Turabian Style. Reference preferation is 5 years behind the manuscript writing, and preferable citation is taking from the journal within 5 years.
  6. For legislation citation and abbreviation is up to the author style, as long as its consistent .
  7. Written sistimatica (see template)
    1. Topic or tittle of the manuscipt
    2. Author’s name and institution
    3. Abstract and keyword
    4. Introduction, including research background, research problem and research method
    5. Discussion
    6. Conclusion and  suggestion (if any)
    7. Bibliography

 

  

Reference Guidelines

Times New Roman 12, justify, bibliography use the Turabian Style or Chicago Style. This bibliography only for the reference which use in the manuscript.

Blibiography is by name in alphabethical  without number. Last name first, and coma follow by first name.
